Submission for global Quantum Game Jam 2026
YOU ARE THE RED STRAND.
Cross the two strands beside you to shape a quantum state. Every crossing
matters. So does the order.
Then the eye opens.
While the cat watches, you cannot move. It measures what you made and may
collapse it into something else. Read the gauges, change your plan, and reach
the target before the test ends.
Eight short tests. Two movement keys. One increasingly inconvenient cat.

This looks cool and seems interesting, but for some reason i can not figure out what my actual goal is. I kinda randomly got the first level and i keep redoing it to try to understand the win condition, but no luck yet. Any hints?
Thanks for trying it! It is more science thing (but would be nice if it get you to read something about q braids).
This was made for the Quantum Game Jam. The theme is quantum braiding, so you play as the red strand and cross the two strands beside you. Each crossing changes the simulated quantum state, and the order of it matters. Your goal is to get both gauges into the gold zones before the test ends. When the eye opens it measures you and stops movement, so wait for it to close. For the first round, go down once and then back up.
I'm at level 6 at this point, just by experimenting around.
Are the gauges supposed to change during play? If so, i have encountered a bug. If not, then how can I tell what I need to do in order to say move the gauge to the left?
The gold bands stay fixed. The white needles and X/Z numbers show your live state and should change, but some crossings only affect the hidden Y value, so not every move is visible. Moving left means reaching X = -1, not pressing a left key. For level 6, try W, W, S, W before the first eye.
I see! That probably explains my struggle. The white lines did not move at all for me, in any level. I'm playing in chrome, on a windows pc.
